It’s so hard for me to find the back bumps I keep getting confused and then the hook doesn’t fit through

had to start over like 10 times because i’ve never really crocheted before but i finally got some of it down so far

Will this be long enough for a dauschaund? She is tiny and the neck measurements match mine her chest is a little bigger and her back end is really slim like 10cm smaller than her chest, shall I do some decreases when getting towards the back end?
